Meet Cydney – Voice, Piano & Ukulele Instructor Cydney Barnes has been a valued member of the Creative Soul Music School faculty since 2018, bringing warmth, creativity, and encouragement to every lesson she teaches. Her favorite instrument is voice, and she also enjoys teaching piano and ukulele, helping students build strong musical foundations while discovering their own unique sound. Cydney believes music is a powerful way for students to express themselves and connect with others. Her goal as a teacher is to create a supportive environment where students feel confident, encouraged, and excited to learn. She loves watching students grow—not just musically, but personally—as they gain confidence and pride in their progress. Outside of teaching, Cydney enjoys songwriting, baking, crafting, and playing Dungeons & Dragons. She’s inspired by artists like Jorge Rivera-Herrans and The Beatles, and she loves helping students explore the music that inspires them too. Cydney’s advice for families is that learning music is a journey. Every student grows at their own pace, and with encouragement, patience, and practice, students can develop both their skills and a lifelong love of music. She looks forward to continuing to inspire and support students at Creative Soul for years to come.
