A proud mother and devoted wife, Candi brings warmth, reliability, and years of teaching experience into every lesson while creating an environment where students feel encouraged to grow. Music has been an important part of Candi's life for years, inspired in part by the encouragement of her dad and big brother. What she loves most about music is the joy it can bring to others, and she discovered early in her teaching career just how fulfilling it is to help students experience that joy while growing in their own musical journey. About Candi's Lessons Candi believes students need both encouragement and strong musical guidance to thrive. She understands that becoming a musician takes practice and hard work, but she never wants students to lose sight of the joy, creativity, and self-expression that make music so special. Whether a student is discovering their singing voice or developing their skills at the piano, Candi enjoys helping them grow in confidence, celebrate their progress, and experience music as something they can enjoy for a lifetime. What Families Can Expect A warm, reliable, and experienced instructor who encourages families to be their child's biggest fans while helping students balance practice and hard work with the fun and joy of making music. Music & Teaching Experience Candi has been teaching music since 2002, bringing more than two decades of experience to her students. Voice is her greatest musical passion, and she also enjoys playing piano and tambourine. Her musical influences span an incredible range of artists and styles, including Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Joss Stone, Kelly Clarkson, Heart, Adele, Amy Winehouse, AC/DC, Aerosmith, and Chris Stapleton. That variety reflects Candi's love for expressive, powerful music and the many different ways a musician can connect with an audience. Beyond the Music Outside of teaching, Candi enjoys singing, spending time with animals, and creating joy wherever she goes. She's a seafood fan—especially crab and lobster—and enjoys a Dr Pepper and the occasional sweet treat. Candi already has a stage name—“The Diva”—although she says “Queen Candi” would work just as well! Her fun personality and genuine love for people are a big part of the warmth and energy she brings to her students. Helping students find their voice, build confidence, have fun, and experience music as a true expression of the soul!
