Bert

Idalberto, aka "Bert", is an experience drummer and perfussionist of theory of music and concept and versatility of musical styles. He loves teaching all genres of music, including Jazz, Blues, R&B, Funk Music, Rock, Latin and Afro-Cuban music. Originally from Cuba, he has been in various Jazz Trios, including Edilio Bermudez's Latin Jazz and Fusion Group. He has performed musical clinics as a percussionist and drummer in different areas of the United States, Hartford Jazz festivals with Nestor Torres, Orquesta Espada. He also enjoyed his time as a Singer for the Vegas Drum Center. His other accomplishments include: Cirque Du Soleil's Bank of Talents where he performed with Ryan Shaw (Grammy nominated Funk & R&B singer). He also played drum set and timbales with Mayra Casales' Band (world renowned percussionist). As a touring musician, he has also performed and recorded with bands from Connecticut and New York, Mayra Casales (prestigious international percussionist), Trombeatz (Latin Jazz band), David Gonzales and his Latin Jazz Experience, Ray Gonzales and his Latin Big Band, Johnny Larsen Band, Gravy Boat (rock, R&B, and funk), Flipper Dave Trio, Johnny Larsen Band, Frank Varela's 1/2. He also was the Percussionist for the Reality Entertainer Delisco for "The Havana Night Show"(2005-2010). He was also drummer for the Earl Turner Show, percussion player for the Clint Holmes show called "Just Another Man", drummer for the Christopher Broughton Show & Participated in recording sessions with musicians that currently form part of the Gladys Knight's band and Gary Pucket. Also recorded and played with local bands and musicians such as The Rick Arroyo Band. Bert also was Trombonist, Composer and Arranger for the Xavier Cugat Big Band Hall (1993-2004), where he played with famous saxophone player Paquito D'Rivera, Gipsy Kings, toured and performed with the Xavier Cugat Big Band Hall of Fame and also performed with Afro---Cuban All Stars in the city of Miami. Toured with Nelson Ned, famous Brazilian singer, for almost two years as percussionist with the band "No Regrets" being it's musical director the an ex---member of the band Miami Sound Machine, Wesley B.
