As a Composer, Music Theorist, and Mult-Instrumentalist, Jonathan "Jon" has a love for a variety of instruments and musical genres. He's currently earning his Master of Arts in Music Composition Summa Cum Laude from the world renown University of North Texas. He also has a Bachelor of Music Degree in Composition and Theory from from Appalachian State University. He also enjoyed studying Irish Traditional Music Studies through the University College at Cork. As a UNT Lab Student, he tutored students in music theory, composition, aural skills, and music history, and facilitated group exam review activitieswith students. As a Music Ministry Intern at Alliance Bible Fellowship, he assisted in the production of weekly worship services, including live sound engineering, audio recording and editing,transcription/arranging, and music performance. His other accomplishments include: Student Director - ASU Irish Ensemble (2018 - 2020), Composition Area Representative for Dean’s Student Advisory Council (2017 - 2018), & Music Composition & Performance Coordinator at High Country Herbarium Art Exhibition (2018). With a heart for teaching, Jonathan is an attentive listener with flexible Instrument Proficiencies in Piano, 16 yearsMandolin (incl. tenor banjo, Irish bouzouki), 6 yearsGuitar, 5 yearsViola, ,2 yearsOther: bass guitar, tin whistle, ocarina, bodhran, ukulele, horn, upright bass, harmonica, Irish flute, fiddle. His Performing Ensemble Experience include: the UNT Baroque Orchestra, Worship Music, ASU Collegium Musicum, ASU Irish Ensemble, Collaborative Pianist 2017, 2019, ASU Jazz Ensemble II,  Miranda Stone’s Recital Combo, ASU Concert Band, Appalachian Chorale.
